Experience with purpose.
My experience with business started long before my professional finance career. From a young age, I was involved in the day-to-day running of family businesses, including a takeaway and laundrette. It gave me an early understanding of what it actually takes to run a business — managing costs, dealing with customers and making decisions when the money matters.
I went on to build a career across senior finance and commercial roles, working within large international organisations and across multiple industries and countries. My experience has included financial modelling, business partnering, forecasting, cost management, transformation and restructuring projects, leading teams and presenting financial insight to senior leadership.
That combination of hands-on business experience and senior commercial finance is what I bring to Saaléh & Co. I don't just want to tell clients what happened last year — I want to help them understand what's happening now, manage tax efficiently and make better decisions about what happens next.
But Saaléh & Co also has a much more personal meaning. The practice is named after my son, Saaléh, whose journey has given me perspective, resilience and the motivation to build something meaningful. Alongside my professional career, I have spent many years involved in community, charitable, educational and youth projects — experiences that have reinforced the values of amanah, integrity and service that sit at the heart of the practice.
Even the 11 core services carry meaning — inspired by Surah Hud (11) and the principle of Tawhid — the Oneness of God.
